Presentation

• The event focuses on sending gifts between guildmates

• The best boon of this event comes from the generators at the winterfest island. Invest on the one for baubles as soon as you log in on the first day: it is more than worth it

• The random totem in the power gifts seems to be extremely rare, be warned!

• Sending gifts is a very good source of soul stones, check out the Heroes of the Day in case you need a particular hero

• This event rewards plenty of many things. This is nice, but not game-changing, aside of winter skins or great luck. So keep your head cool, enjoy sharing gifts with your guildmates, appreciate the christmas mood, and maybe keep your emeralds

Resources

• Winterfest Baubles → New Year Candies → Gingerbread Cookies

• Baubles to decorate the tree: this rewards candies. The island generator will give you 200k baubles

• Candies to purchase the basic gifts and the first levels of generators. Gifts in turn sometimes reward gingerbread cookies, with pet gifts apparently being the best ones for this purpose

• Gingerbread cookies are the most valuable resource: they are used to get the best gift, upgrade the later levels of generators, and buy totems, catalysts or other great rewards. You will never get enough for a totem without paying though

Winter Skins

• Do not miss this once-in-a-year opportunity to get the winter skins for your heroes

• You get one random skin per skin gift. They cost 20k candies, so quests and generators will give you enough to send one gift a day. This means two gifts a day for you if you arrange an exchange. It is important to communicate with your guildmates to find someone interested

• You will also get about two free skin gifts as your guild decorate the tree

• Finally you can exchange 50k candies for 10k emeralds spent, so 4k emeralds per additional skin gift. There are 30 skins in the gifts at the moment

• Some skins can only be bought in the shop: the new winter skins and some of those from last year

• 1000 candies → 1 hero upgrade gift box

• 2 gingerbread cookies → 1 hero upgrade gift box

Letter to Winter Claus (before Christmas)

You can choose three gifts among those proposed. You will receive one of them, randomly, on December 31.

Notably are a lesser elemental spirit summoning sphere and a golden raid ticket, that grants free players with the capacity to conduct single or multiple raids, as with vip5.

Here were the results reported by players who answered my poll:

• Players below vip5: 60% got a totem, 40% got a raid ticket (105 accounts). None got something else!

• Players at least vip5: 51% got a totem :) (53 accounts)

Note that many players with several maxed totems got a free fragment, even some long-time players who had maxed them all already. I have also seen in my own guild, among players with three winterfests under their belt and a few maxed totems, that several of them got a fragment. This disproves some urban legends that Nexters was scheming against spenders. Not only that but the odds are actually generous: thank you Nexters!

Gifts

• You get one free gift of every type from quests, every day, if you send a similar one to a guildmate

• If your guildmate reciprocates, this means you essentially got two gifts for the cost of one, once per type and day

Click on the shop' decoration at the town place, as illustrated below.
Warning: you must complete all puzzles in a row. If you leave or is disconnected, you will have to restart them all!

Missing Letters

There are four letters missing to light up the NY2026 logo above your guild tree. They are scattered all around the game, go collect them

• Chapter 1 of the campaign, top-left, there is a gift

• Chapter 2 of the campaign, top-right, there is another gift

• Chapter 12 of the campaign, bottom-middle, the cave leads you to a game

• At the town hall, whenever someone is launching fireworks, click on the bells above their guild banner

• Finally you are ready to click the NY2026 logo to claim your reward

Heroes of the Day

Gifts reward the sender with a few soul stones for two heroes. The first hero is always the same, the other changes everyday
