Beginner's Guide to Titans
Which element and team to focus on?
Earth or fire are arguably the best choices

Which titans to level up first?
First build a supertitan and a tank
Dungeon
You need to farm 225 titanites a day, and 75 of those come from the prestige quests.
You may thing of doing more, building many teams at once for this purpose... Don't, the bar is way too high for what it is worth before a long time.
But build Tidus, he is a rockstar healer. He will let you heal your fire and earth titans in the mixed rooms. A water totem is better for that purpose of course, but I do not recommend going for water.

Totems
They are the core of the power of a titan team. And they are the most pay-to-win mechanic in the game.
The game guides you to use emeralds to summon the first one at the Altar of the Elements, and the next bad luck protection is at 45k emeralds after that. This may seem daunting, but opportunities will present to you from time to time, and this is one of the best way to use your emeralds.
Note that your first two totems' elements will be your most powerful one, based on the sum of your corresponding titans' power.

Finally, levelling up your totem with guild war trophies or clash of worlds trophies take forever, so you will instead need to use emeralds. Therfore expect your totems to swallow a large chunk of the emeralds you will gain: it takes 304000 of them to max a totem!
Building
What matters: levels > seals > skins, crowns and weapons
Levels and stars are the most important thing. Both the power gain and the cost become more and more important with each level. Stars act as a simple multiplier of stats.
Seals bring very important stats, and lot of them
Crown and weapon artifacts bring elemental attack and elemental armor, which are only useful against some elements. See water for example
Skins bring an usually modest amount of stats, some very interesting such as health and attack, while others just bring elemental armor
Capping
It may be interesting to not develop your titans too much, for two reasons.
First, as with some heroes, to keep your titans fragile enough that they ult fast enough. Sometimes the weaker team beats the most powerful one! However it is a double-edged sword that may backfire more often than not.
Second, to mislead an opponent who ran a combat simulation against a maxed team. This is quite important in high-level CoW where you want the opponent to do a few mistakes here and there.
Even if capping your team causes more defeats than victories, a good enemy will not make mistakes anyway if the combat is predictable, when both sides have maxed teams.
So how to do it? Many players choose to not build their armor artifact at all, but this is only efficient against a single element when attacking, and only against the same group when defending (water/fire/earth or dark/light). To cover other cases you may want to not build your health skin at all.
I am not sure whether to recommend capping to be fair. Some high-achievment guilds swear by that, while others scoff the idea. Both ideas have merits.
